Feature availability

Core features are free at launch.

Accounts, imports and exports are free on the web. Existing valid web license keys still unlock the investing report and tax estimates; paid plans are not offered at launch. The first iPhone release includes all features at no charge and does not use web license keys. Features differ between platforms.

How it works

The database runs inside your browser.

On the web, your data is stored in your browser’s own storage. On iPhone, it is a file on your phone. There is no account to create, no password to forget, and no server holding a copy of your financial records. Export a JSON backup to keep a copy you control. Cross-platform imports support shared data, but some records and settings are platform-specific; review import warnings and keep the original backup.

The trade-off is real and we would rather say it plainly: because only you hold your data, you need to keep your own backups. Website loading, app updates and optional exchange-rate refreshes still use the network. See our privacy policy for details.
